Product Care & Help Guide
Expert advice on maintaining the tension, flexibility, and longevity of your Villa Lights clip lamps.
1. Clamp Placement & Furniture Care
- Surface Engagement: Always ensure the clamp jaws are pushed fully flush against the edge of your desk, headboard, or shelf before tightening or releasing the spring grip.
- Check Maximum Clearance: Do not force the clamp over edges wider than the stated maximum specification (typically up to 5–6 cm / 2.3 inches). Over-stretching can compromise internal tension springs.
- Silicone Pad Inspection: Periodically ensure the soft silicone pads remain free of abrasive dust to prevent micro-scratches on polished wooden finishes.
2. Gooseneck Flexibility & Angle Adjustment
- Smooth Guidance: When re-orienting the light beam, use two hands—one holding the clamp base firmly and the other gently guiding the flexible gooseneck into position.
- Avoid Sharp Kinks: Guide the arm in sweeping, natural curves. Avoid bending the flexible shaft into sharp 90-degree creases repeatedly in the identical spot.
3. Electrical & LED Cleaning Guidelines
- Power Disconnection: Always unplug the lamp or power off the USB port prior to wiping or cleaning.
- Optical Diffuser Cleaning: Clean the LED light bar with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. Never apply liquid window cleaner or solvents onto the LED face.
- Power Input: For USB-powered clip lights, utilize certified 5V power adapters. Do not connect to high-voltage fast-charging ports not designed for lighting electronics.
